Collection: Embroidered Geoffrey Kibby Illustrations
A small (but growing) collection of extremely mushroomy, exceptionally embroidered Geoffrey Kibby illustrations on some splendidly cottony items of apparel.
Who is Geoffrey Kibby and why are you using his art?
Firstly, like, how dare you. Secondly - Geoffrey Kibby is one of Britain’s most respected experts on identifying mushrooms in the field, and his privately published books on British mushrooms aim to pass on many of those skills. He's also a former editor and ongoing contributor to Field Mycology, a quarterly publication brought to you by the British Mycological Society. We’ve licensed his illustrations to help bring scientific accuracy (and beauty) to our clothing.
How many of Kibby's designs will be available?
Neither of the people that currently work on this business are even vaguely well organised. Frankly, it's amazing we made it to adulthood - and the fact that we were allowed to reproduce is probably a failure on behalf of some kind of government agency. We're very grateful to our partners for their ongoing assistance, the only thing that allows us to pass for real people.
All that being said - we are working on getting more of these illustrations, and other designs, added to our catalogue. I imagine at this point, the present for me, that we'll be adding a couple a month until we run out of money or mushrooms. If you're reading this in the future, look, I'm sorry, we tried. Probably. We probably tried. I mean, there are three at this point, so if there are more than three, frankly, a small round of applause is in order.
