The Five Panel Death Cap

Some mushrooms hide in the undergrowth. Others sit proudly on your forehead.

The Death Cap (see what we did there?) is our nod (have we gone too far yet) to Amanita phalloides which is, heads up (okay, enough), Europe’s most notorious mushroom, stitched in full colour on a five-panel organic cotton cap. Artwork is from an original Geoffrey Kibby illustration (with full permission, of course, because we don’t mess around when it comes to fungi or copyright).

This cap isn’t about shouting; it’s about signalling. To fellow foragers, naturalists (they're the ones that keep the clothes on, right?), and the mushroom-curious, it says: yes, I know exactly what that is. To everyone else, it just looks like a pretty nice hat. The perfect balance of nerdy and stylish. Practical for long days outdoors, but cool enough for the pub after.
